THE TERRIFYING MANGO SALE IS HERE AGAIN!
Early in the morning at 7+ 8, I received Yun's sms telling me how loooooong the queue for the Mango sale was already (Yun said it's 'horribly disgusting'. HAHA). No jokes. Not kidding. Singaporean women really do take leave on the very first day of the Mango sale in order to get the bestestestest bargains. Of course, only the very firsts will get the best designs and sizes.
Sadly for me, I slept at 5am the previous 'night' and was not able to get out of bed at 7am to join in the 'fun'. Moreover, I had to work in the afternoon and can only release the shopping-devil within me at 8pm. I felt so anxious when I noticed that women everywhere were carrying bulging-mango-bags-with-loads-and-loads-of-clothes-within while I was at work. Thoughts were running thru my mind: 'Will there be anymore nice designs?' 'Have all the XS and S been swept away by those crazy women already?' I can't wait for 8pm to arrive.
When the time finally came, I quickly punched out, changed, packed my bag, let the security check my bag and rushed off to the nearest Mango outlet - Mango NAC. Soooooooooooooo many women were inside. The competitive streak within me began to immerge subconsciously. I MUST fight off all obstacles and BUY SOMETHING!
After all the ['excuse-mes', squeezing, subtle snatching, rummaging, trying, looking at the pricing, deciding, further rummaging, deciding again]#, I finally bought 2 tops. In the past, I would just buy everything I like without giving it a second thought and some of the clothes would end up untouched at a lonely corner of my wardrobe. But now, the matured-me *ahem* had realized that I shouldn't waste money like that. So although I might have tried tons of clothes, I would only buy a few which I think I would definitely wear and which are worth the prices.
After paying, I realised that there's still 15 minutes before 9.30pm. I CAN STILL GO TO MANGO ISETAN!!!! I quickly rushed there and repeated procedure # again. At an improved speed, I managed to decide on 2 tops which I absolutely have to buy. I paid for it and left while lots of women were still rummaging and refusing to leave despite repeated announcements that Isetan had in fact closed for the day.
Because Aku in good mood today, I have decided to 'model' the tops on my blog. HAHA.
Here's my new-tops-of-the-day! :
(1)
Hmmm...silky-silk + feminine flowery-prints, I likey! (In case you all don't know, I LOVE silk and chiffon!)
(2)
I'm not a girly person but I love this dolly-top!!! You all won't be able to see it but there's fine flowery-prints on it too!
(3)
I'd like to think of this as sorta boho or gypsy or whatever they call it. Haha. But it's nice with a teasing glimpse of the shoulders. There's embroidered flowers on the neckline! (see pic below)
Ermm, I don't think you all can see right? HAHA.
(4)
I love the fluff!!! I'm the fluff-puff girl!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! This top has embroidered flowers on the left too. As you all can see, I'm a big fan of flowery-prints, embroidered flowers or any other flower-related stuff.
Okay, end of runway show. Still gotto go conquer the other Mango outlets in the next few days.
Imma fashion victim!
