I have no strength to complain anymore. The exams are draining away all my energy. It feels as if I might just collapse anytime. I really feel that I can't survive til post-exams...

God please help me. I promise I'll try to be a better person from now on...

p/s: I haven't felt this way since my O' levels...I'm so tired...

Recently there's no outlet for me to say what I want to say (yes, I'm very talkative if you're wondering) because I'm sort of like hibernating for the exams and haven't seen people in quite awhile. Blogging is the only way for me to keep 'talking'. And there's a few issues I'd like to cover today:

Firstly - I HATE THOSE YEAR ONES WHO HAD ALREADY FINISHED THEIR EXAMS THESE FEW DAYS!!!! Wah lau, how can they be so fast when I haven't even started on my first paper?! See their MSN nicks make me very du lan. Okay never mind, next year then you all will know my 'tong ku' already! Just wait and see...*evil laughter*

Second - THE GREAT SINGAPORE SALE HAS STARTED!!! But I'm not part of it...yet. SIAN. By the time I finish my exams all the good stuff are already gone. But I'd like to thank Kyan for messaging me early yesterday morning about this GREAT deal - 10% storewide discount (latest arrivals and classic collection) @ Gucci Taka and Bottega Veneta from today til Sunday if you pay using Taka Card. I want Bottega Veneta!!!!!!!!!!!!! But no money. Plus exam. Double sadness.

Third - Oh my gosh! What a surprise!

Las Vegas Sands wins bid to build Singapore's first integrated resort

I thought the results were going to be out only in June. And also, I was thinking that either MGM Mirage or Harrahs would have got the project! But *shock*, Las Vegas Sands got it - just like my Dad predicted. But after listening to their proposal, it doesn't sound too bad. In fact, it sounds absolutely fantastic! I guess the other 3 competitors might have given too much emphasis on just one or two parts of the whole project (but their proposals seem wonderful and very interesting to me!) whereas Las Vegas Sands has a good proposal covering all areas required of it. Plus they had thought about how the Marina Bay would be developed in the following years and complemented their project with the government's.

Ladies and Gentlemen, after having succeeded in their bid, I hereby present to you, Singapore's very first Integrated Resort - Marina Bay Sands (proudly brought to you by Las Vegas Sands):

Sands' integrated resort offers wide spectrum of experiences

I can't wait for the IR to be ready!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Lastly - OUR NATION"S PRIDE!!!

Singapore referee hopes to go far in World Cup

Referee Samsul Maidin is the only Singaporean who will be physically participating in this year's World Cup. Our very own representative! YEH!

I'm so excited about the World Cup! Friendly matches flying here and there recently and Japan had already set off to Germany!!! Oh ya talking about friendlies, Walcott of England - the surprise pick by Eriksson is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! I had tried looking for a nice picture of him to put up here...but none appealed to me. So too bad. You guys go check it out yourself k?

Ciao!

The Reality-TV Freak is back!!!

I just caught the first episode of Project Runway Season 2. (Okay, the next episode will be on the eve of my very first paper...just thinking about it makes me very nervous!!!) It was Great!!!! (with a CAPITAL 'G'!!!)

Have you ever seen a pregnant mum as pretty as Heidi? Well, I haven't. When I saw her pregnant on the show just now, I was like 'WHOA!'. How can she be THAT pretty when her tummy's bulging? So I've decided that I'm going to be as pretty as her when I'm pregnant in the future!

The contestants were busily preparing themselves for their very 1st runway show when I caught a glimpse of this fantabulous green dress by one of the designers:

Isnt it so very pretty???!!!! Definitely the most eye-catching of the lot. And in the end, this dress clinched 1st place in the very first challenge!

And here's the designer:

Santino! He seems a tad bit weird though. But what the hell, all designers are quirky in one way or another!

Sigh. I wish I'm as talented as these contestants. They're going to have a fun and wonderful life being designers. Dressed in style, attending parties and the best of all - flexible working hours. And I'll be stuck in an office doing some routined work 5 days a week when I graduate. HOW BORING!! I should have studied Mass Comm in Poly. Sigh. Then I'll probably be a reporter now or something. Going to Iraq, reporting about General Elections...how fun!

Anyway, I caught the American Idol Finale too. The 2 finalists:

Katharine McPhee

OMG, she's sooooo pretty!!!! The prettiest American Idol contestant ever!!! McPheeeeeever!!!

Taylor Hicks

He's just damn cute la! Check out his dance moves! Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol!

Who will be the next American Idol? We'll know at 8am tommorrow (or rather - later today), Singapore time.

I'll be happy for whoever wins, I love them both!!!

Sorry for putting up so many videos. But I can't help it!

I'm looking thru my 'photo albums' when I saw this video. Took it at Zhiwei's house during CNY '05. Quite a long time ago. But this simple and very unprofessional video brings back soooooooooo much memories. I really miss my Dbl-O Pioneers so much so much so much so much so much.

From the video:

Haha I remember I kei siao go ask Zhiwei whether he needed help with the dishes or not. Now when I listen to myself in the video, it seems so fake. No sincerity at all. HAHA. Hopefully Zhiwei didn't realise it then. Shhhhhhhh...hahaha...

Wah! Hazel and my hair so short then!!! Now see already like very weird.

And yah Hazel, I know you not 'qing wa zai chang ge'? Confirm better than that! SERIOUS!

Wendy!! It's really been a very long time since I saw you liao. Now I see you in the video then I realise. Skali next time I can't recognise you when I see you on the streets how?!

Rachel...hmmm...ya, she's a very noisy girl. Can see from the video right? HAHA.

Not forgetting Meng-Ge and DJ, quiet quiet stand one side but forever my AMK left-right Guards. *hugz*

Qiting and Jasmine are so CUTE!!!

We always had so much fun together...Sorry for not meeting up. Sorry that I've been neglecting you all during this period. So sorry.

Argh...I really miss you all so much. We must really really really meet up after my exams okay? Really really really okay? Promise okay? Promise ah?! Quick promise or else I can't concentrate on my studies! I must give all of you a big big bear hug! (I can see some of your faces turning green with disgust liao. HAHA)

How did a girl who goes shopping and clubbing every week end up staying at home 24/7? Why? Why does this tragedy have to befall her? *lightning and thunder* + *er-hu's music in the background*

I'm so stress. Everytime I see my wardrobe, I want to go shopping. Everytime I listen to my iPod, I want to go clubbing. I miss alcohol. I miss Dbl-O, Mambo, Mdm Wong, Devils, MoS. I miss my friends. I miss buying clothes and shoes and bags and accessories. I miss watching movies. I miss my everyday-stare-at-the-ceiling-with-nothing-to-do-life.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! When???? When will everything be finally over????!!!!! *lightning strikes and thunder rolls again*

AHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I still got alot of things haven't study!!!! This time die liao!

I'm so bored. Bored until I went around looking for glitter graphics again. I love the one at 'Archives'! Don't you think the art direction is very good? I love it! At first I put it under 'Visual Memoirs', but it appeared indecent instead of artistic there because of my album name 'My Fun Times!'. The graphic together with 'My Fun Times!' seems like it's going to link you to some pornographic site...ahem. So I shifted it to 'Archives'. Looks much better isn't it. I love my World Cup '06 countdown timer too! SO FUN!

Anyway, Da Vinci Code's pretty good. They added some things which were not in the book and excluded some which were. I think the movie should have described and explained more about the 'hidden secrets' in Leonardo's paintings just like Dan Brown did in his novel. Also, Robert and Sophie seemed to break the codes too quickly and easily in the movie whereas from the book, I can really feel and mentally visualize how they used their expertise to crack the codes. However, I love the ending of the film. LOVE IT LOVE IT! I think they directed it so beautifully. It's as if I can feel the calmness of the world as the truth was finally revealed.

I'm Princess Sophie's sister Princess Elyse!!! *smirk*

I WANT TO VISIT THE LOUVRE MUSUEM!!! OH, I MUST I MUST!!! LOOK!

Sully, Denon, Richelieu and the Pyramid. SO PREEEEEEEEETTTYYYYYYYYYY!!

Oh ya, I visited the Da Vinci's website last week and tried it's webquest. It was so fun!!! And I am so proud of myself for breaking all the codes. There were so many people who had already posted the answers on the net but I was determined to break it myself! So after killing lots of brain cells, I finally solved it. *beaming with pride* Try it! It's fun!

p/s: Please please please wish me luck for my exams. I would really need it!!!

I'm siao. Just finished watching the Champions League Final.

I went into the game supporting Barcelona and when Campbell scored the first goal of the match for Arsenal, I was so sad. After halftime, Eto'o scored the equaliser for Barcelona and I was thrilled! They deserved it! But when Barcelona scored a second goal, I felt soooooo sad for Arsenal.

Because Arsenal played very well too. With Lehmann out with a red card just 10+ minutes into the game, they still managed to score a goal and maintained the scoreline until the 76th minute. Isn't that a great feat for just 10 men against the Barcelona Giants?

I'm always like that. I go into a match supporting a team. And if the team I support loses, naturally I'll be sad la. But if the team I'm not supporting loses, I will also be sad for them too.

Football is such a cruel game. When someone wins, another loses. So either way, I'll be sad. That is why everytime (especially during Euro Cup and World Cup) I will always cry and cry and cry and cry after the matches. Especially if the teams I support gets kicked out - which is inevitable since I support so many teams and there can only be 1 champion. I still remembered how much I cried when the stupid Korea kicked out so many of my favourites during the last World Cup. BOOHOO. And I'm already preparing myself for all the crying I'll be experiencing this coming World Cup.

...Football is a matter of life and death...I LOVE THE GAME SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!

Just saw a particular blog entry about the 'Fight Club' aka boys fighting in schools. (damn they are so young)

It makes me ponder: Does all boys/guys/men have to be in a fight at least once in their lifetime to make them...ermm...'manly'? Well, at least I think so. Okay, gays and transvestites aside, I really think that the male species are born to fight. Males fight and hunt for food, females cook and take care of babies mah... If you have never fought at least a 'battle' in school or at clubs or wherever, do you still dare to call yourself a MAN????!!!!!! Sigh...coward.

I think most guys experience their very first fights in Secondary Schools ba. Maybe some pre-mature ones will have fought their firsts in Primary Schools. Okay la, the latest guys must have their first fights should be when they start clubbing at around 18 okay? That is already very very very late liao loh.

But I've never really seen any 'live' fights before. I don't wish to anyway. Seems scary. And I scared they will hit me accidentally. Everytime I see a fight coming, I will 'siam' very far. I remember there's once at Madam Wong (very long time ago...think during my Poly times), 2 galfriends and I were at the dancefloor when I suddenly spotted 2 Ah Lians just beside us pushing and shoving each other while screaming: "Ch** B*e lah!" We quickly 'siam' to one side where we still have a clear view of the 'show'. The lights were on soon after and everyone's looking at them fighting. And MY GOD! What a scene that is. The 2 girls were pulling each others' hair and clothes (standard procedure of catfights) and one of the girls' strapless bra had even been pulled down to her waist loh. *shake head* And well...the guys were happy watching them fight. But the bouncers came rushing to the dancefloor and pulled the both of them out.

But I think it's really not a very nice sight for girls to fight la. Ask the guys to fight for you la. Why must fight yourself? HAHAHA.

Conclusion: Boys MUST fight. Girls DON"T fight.

Ok, end of entry. I want to go eat choc cookies and watch TV now.

p/s: MUAHAHAHA!!! Barcelona VS Arsenal tonight!!!

I woke up at 1pm today. Oh, btw, I don't usually wake up THAT 'early'. You all should have guessed that I didn't wake up to study (DUH!) . HAHA. I woke up to watch the direct-off-satellite 'Survivor'!!! IT"S GREAT!!!!

OUTWIT! OUTPLAY! OUTLAST! No slogan could possibly be more suitable for the Survivor show!

I'm so disappointed that Terry didn't win the million dollars. Like what Shane said, Terry is definitely the most deserving of the million dollars plus the title of 'sole survivor' among them all.

Terry

The 'Survivor' in my heart...

Aras won!

Aras

Hmm...don't really like him, I think he's a kiddish little rascal. HAHA. But he's definitely more worthy of the title and prize than Danielle. Anyway, I think he looks better with all the beard and moustache, now his face looks so big!!

Danielle - who brought Aras instead of Terry with her into the finals, lost.

Danielle

Danielle is sooooooo pretty!!

I love Bruce, Shane and Cirie too!!!!

Bruce

He's such a brave brave man.

Shane

He's a quirky one!

Cirie

The 'Social Goddess'.

They have such delightful personalities. BUT I STILL LOVE TERRY THE MOST!!!!

In my opinion, Survivor and The Amazing Race are absolutely the best on the whole universe!!!! How on earth did the producers think of such wonderful shows?

Oooo...finale of The Amazing Race direct-off-satellite this Thursday morning and repeat telecast on Friday night!!! MUST WATCH!!! Who will win?

Eric and Jeremy?

BJ and Tyler?

Or Ray and Yolanda?

We'll find out...very soon! (I'm rooting for Eric/Jeremy and BJ/Tyler. *crosses fingers*)

Oh ya btw, the new season of Project Runway is coming our way!!! Heidi Klum!! Ooo La La! Nice show too!

The 16 designers of Season 2. (It still keep ringing in my head how Heidi said 'sixteeeeeeeeeeeen designers' in the commercial now replaying over and over again on Channel 5. I think it's hilarious!)

I'm a sucker for reality shows. Come flood me with reality TV!!!

Oh ya, my brother said Mr Brown got a new podcast. Gotto go listen to it now. TATA!

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!!!

Hope all mothers and mums-to-be will stay pretty and happy forever and ever and ever and ever!!! *smoochies*

Okay, anyway this is not really what I want to blog about. What follows is the REAL topic.

Have you guys ever hated...hmm ok la, the word too strong already...disliked someone immensely by just the look, the behaviour, the attitude etc etc of the person? And you've only like seen the person for 1, 2 or the most 3 times? AND you don't even know the person personally?

Well, I have. Not once, not twice, not even thrice...but many many many many many many many many many many many many many (still not enough 'many'-s, but my hands tired liao) times. Like my Mum always says, I hate 99% of the world population. But, how can that be? I think I hate 99.99% of the world population. HAHA. Why am I such a strange person? Sometimes, these are just normal people I see on the streets for god's sake! But most of the time, they're people I would meet in like whatever places. Still, I just don't like them and would never thought of befriending them no matter what. I know I'm biased because they might turn out to be great friends afterall! But, NO THANK YOU. I'm very selective about my friends you know. AHEM.

How come I'm becoming more and more weird as I grow older? Is it only me? Anyone of you out there who's like that too? It's like OMG DAWGGGG!!! I think I'm the strangest and weirdest and bitchiest and nastiest person I've ever known! First it's the mushy stuff, now (or rather, ALWAYS) - it's THIS! I think I should be the Guiness World Record holder of the Hate(oops...it's 'Dislike')-The-Most-People-Award. I will always have something to say about everything and everyone. Trust me. Just ask my Mum. HAHA.

Probably lots of people hated me too. Or at least they might after reading this blog entry. Whatever man. They too have the choice to choose who they hate/dislike just like I do. FREEDOM OF SPEECH!! WE HAVE THE POWER!! WE HAVE A CHOICE!! WE'RE A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY!! (I think I'm siao liao. After-election fever.)

AHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Sian. I miss my friends. I miss my life. I miss money. SIGH. I want to buy big-ass sunglasses that covers til my cheekbones! Like this:

Hmmm...but probably nicer ones. I want her Balenciaga Moto also. Gotto get a mango top. I want to buy dresses too!!! Chiffon!!! Silk!!! Pretty pretty!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

By the way, I've bought my Da Vinci Code movie tickets for the opening date, which is Thursday. Very kiasu right? But movies classified under my 'Priority List' have to be booked very early one, or else later sold out how? I will cry. The theatre is almost half-filled already when I bought my tickets. SEE? Anyway, I'm getting all-excited about it!

Oops, I still haven't blog about what I wanted to blog since yesterday. HAHA. Okay okay, tommorrow la. I've already typed too much and now suddenly no mood to type already. I think I'll go watch TV now. I've turned into an absolute couch potato these days...

The Priss
Deliberate . Brutal . Love . Dreamer

Mature. Responsible. Aristocratic. Excuse me. The Priss.

Prisses are the smartest of all female types. You're highly perceptive, and confident in your judgements. You'd take brutal honesty over superficiality any time--your friends always know where they stand with you. You're completely unfake. Don't tell me that's not a word. You're also excellent at redirecting internal negative energy.

These facts indicate people are often intimidated by you. They also fall for you, hard. You have a distant, composed allure that many find irresistible. If only more of them lived up to your standards.

You were probably the last among your friends to have sex. And the first to pretend that you're pregnant. LOL. Though you're inclined to use sex as weapon, at least it's not as one of mass destruction. You're choosier than most about your partners. A supportive relationship is what you're really after. Whether you know it or not, you need something steady & long-term. And soothing.

Deliberate: Make decisions carefully. Is aware of, and weighs, consequences. Takes time to think things through.

Brutal: More selfish than average. Selectively moral.

Love: Love is subject's primary motivation.

Dreamer: Relatively innocent. Unjaded. Possessing undiscovered potential. Evolving.

Take the test here

p/s: Lalalalala...I love myself! I have lots of things to blog about, but too tired now. Check back tommorrow!!

You know how some songs will always stay in your mind no matter how long it has been? I have a few and was searching for their videos when I came across this one - Dreaming of You by Selena.

Selena died when she's at her peak of her career. She was shot by the founder of her fan club. One whom she called her friend. This was one of the saddest story I've ever heard in the music industry.

p/s: the video includes footages from the movie Selena, starring Jennifer Lopez.

I always feel that if you can criticise people, people can also criticise you. It's like 'li shang wang lai' mah. And if you can't take it, then you yourself don't criticise people la, simple! Therefore, I usually take criticisms very well because I know that I've got a foul mouth myself. (but I usually don't say very 'mean' things like "WAH! Dinosaur!" --> GQ always says this. HAHAHA. Okay, just joking. Anyway, I normally just suan abit and seriously meant it as a joke only.)

But recently, I found that there are times when I can't take what has been said to me leh. I started to feel that it had gone overboard liao loh. At first, I thought it's just me getting more and more spoilt and princess-like recently (which I admit I am). So I 'REN'. But after thinking it over, I really think the problem doesn't lie with me loh. I had seriously been attacked personally and I know whoever said it meant it. This started to make me DU LAN. VERY DU LAN LOH.

I myself have never in my life said something to a person to purposely bring that person down one leh. For example, I would never say anyone's stupid. Because that is soooooo f**king bad karma loh. Anyway, being very DU LAN, I started to think back. Every single word the person said to me were attached with thorns loh. One word - SARCASTIC. I know, I also like to be sarcastic one mah, but one has to know where to stop. This fella obviously don't. (Like what my Dad and Bro like to say recently --> F**KING CB!)

I don't know what the hell is wrong with him/her la. Maybe bad mood or what la. Eh, but bad mood doesn't give people the right to do or say anything you want loh. You want to try murdering someone to vent your anger???!!! (I bad mood usually keep very quiet, I don't take it out on people one, so I got the right to say people here okay!) Wah lau, I really don't know what to say liao leh. Nothing you all say can calm me down. I DON'T WANT TO CALM DOWN!!!!

Eh f**k loh, I'm famous for remembering everything that everyone did to me one hor. So next time if I treat you back the same way, you better keep your mouth shut loh. Or else I surely mention about this incident one. If you want people to put up with your nonsense, you better do the same yourself! Shit la, the more I blog about it the more DU LAN I become!!!

Sometimes, things just turn one big round to come back to you one leh. And you won't even know it. Think about it. Think back. What have you done in the past? Maybe it's just 1 x Evil, you say. But it will come back to you in the form of 3 x Evil. It will...

p/s: I read the last paragraph I also feel scared myself. Okay, I promise I'll try to be a better person from today onwards.

Okay, I have to confess something before you all read this entry. I LOVE MISCHA BARTON! (Okay, I love Lohan too. But I'll blog 'bout her some time later k.)

I mean she's gorgeous, famous, young and with an impeccable dress sense...Who wouldn't love her??

Can anyone tell me what kind of dog is this please? It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!! (Heng, you're the dog expert here. Do you know??)

She even has this LV bag for her dog! If I didn't remember wrongly, it costs at least close to $2000 or even more. (When I was working in LV, I hate it when customers ask for this bag though. Coz I had to go to the store to get it. Mafan.)

Now, take a closer look at her bag. No. The other one.

See it?

Here are more:

Absolutely LOVE her Bowling Bag!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! (And if you noticed, that's Nicole Richie beside her.)

OH NO! Another one of my bag cravings! Not even the Fendi B attracted me!!!! But this time round, Chanel did it!!! (Love their accessories too!) It's Luxury by Chanel line. But it should be around $3600. SIGH. BIG SIGH. YOU TELL ME LA!! WHERE TO FIND MONEY TO BUY??!!!! *Sobsob* It's okay, I still have my Paddington with me...not forgetting my other bags too. They're my babies!!! *HEART*

Anyway, I can't wait for 'The Devil Wears Prada' to open in September! From the book by Lauren Weisberger:

The movie will be starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. A MUST WATCH!!!

Okay. I just came across someone's blog, ermm like 5 minutes ago.

1st time at his/her blog. But I just had to stop halfway thru. It's too mushy liao seriously. Keep putting up photos of his/her bf/gf and saying how sweeeeeetttt he/she is and describing what he/she did for him/her. Calling him/her 'special half', saying that 'he's/she's the sweetest', 'he/she loves me so much'...ermm...okay I shall not continue because my hair is all standing up and I'm getting very cold now. *BRRRR...*(Btw, how do you know he/she loves you very much? Even the most doting husband can be having an affair outside. Remember: Humans are born evil. Do not trust anyone except yourself.)

Okay, I think I should be the crazy one here. Most people would be thinking: There's nothing wrong what! Ermm...I don't know leh. I really feel like puking right now so don't. Don't say anything to me or I might just puke in your face. I don't know why I feel like that also. Sometimes, I hear people singing love songs on TV I will also feel nauseous. AM I BIAN TAI OR WHAT???!!! ARE YOU ALL LIKE THAT TOO?? OR OMG, I'M ABNORMAL!!!!?????

Note: Just to clarify in case you all think that I'm contradicting myself. Right, I'm OBSESSED with the notion of LOVE recently. But I mean it in a very artistic way, not a mushy way. I just feel that be it fatherly, motherly or romantic, love is simply a miracle. It is so very beautiful if you just think about it (okay, I'll stop before I get all poetic). BUT, I don't mean it in those 'I love you so much', 'I miss you alot', 'May our love be forever' ways (*smack your head* HEY! Be practical can?!?!!). You know what I'm saying? There's a very thin line between being romantic and being mushy. Step over, and I will vomit all over your blog. HAHA.

Okay, I really need to calm myself down before I start vomitting. Peace everyone!

p/s: It's amazing how some people got over it almost immediately while some people still can't forget after several years. In a particular case, I'm glad to be the former. I'd rather be a f**king b*tch with a heart like stone than be someone who always gets bullied. If you think I'm cold-blooded, so be it. PUI!

The results are out.

PAP: 82 seats
WP: 1 seat
SDA: 1 seat
SDP: 0 seat

I'm so disappointed that Worker's Party didn't win the seats for Aljunied GRC. But it was so close though. 43.92% of the people voted for WP.

PAP won the constituency I'm staying in.

Potong Pasir and Hougang still under SDA and WP respectively. Thank goodness.

Not that I have anything against the PAP (for all I know they've been doing a pretty good job), but I really think the Parliament needs more members from the opposition parties (the quality of the opposition parties are important though). Only with competition will there be improvement. And I think most young adults share my view (as per newspaper reports and from what I heard around me these few days). If you are young but don't share this view, ermmm...then you're probably old or something. HAHA. I even heard some guys saying in school today, "Aiya, vote for opposition la. Must have opposition in the Parliament mah, otherwise so boring, everytime PAP." HAHA.

But nevertheless, votes for the opposition had increased significantly, which is an encouraging sign for the local political scene. Let's now hope that the government can lead us towards a better future and continue bringing more benefits to the people. I LOVE SINGAPORE!

p/s: I got to keep the poll card. I'm so happy!!!! Got to laminate it or something. Heehee.

Okay...this post will be full full FULL of rallies' pictures!!!!

I went to SDA's Rally at Yio Chu Kang Stadium on Wednesday, 03.05.06. It wasn't as crowded as the Worker Party's Rally. But still, it wasn't too bad. I personally think that the turnout looks better than PAP's (Nothing against PAP though. They usually get majority of the votes even when their rallies' turnouts were bad anyway.)

Pictures!!!

This was the crowd gathering right in front of the stage. There were also one whole stretch of people sitting on the 'benches', as seen in background. I'm sitting on the opposite side 'benches'.

There were people sitting on the tracks too! Hmm...looks cozy!

I was sitting there happily eating by Skittles and mentos when a girl came over and sat beside me. She said she was from the Straits Times and asked me a few questions regarding the General Election - Is it my first time at a rally, Is it my first time voting, Why do I come to rallies etc. She said she was doing a poll on approx 50 people. And she was writing in a notepad in those kinda reporter's style writing which, errrr...I forgot what is it called already. But anyway, normal people can't understand one, like drawing like that. Very amazing...

This is her pic, shhhhhh...she doesn't know I took it. HAHA

Looking melancholic huh...haha

There were also a few people walking around selling their party's newsletter and manisfesto. This guy is one of them. These people were watching the rally outside the stadium through the fence. Everywhere also got people.

At 10pm, the rally was over and we were asked to leave the stadium in an orderly manner. Near the entrance/exit, lots of people were queuing up asking for Steve Chia's autographs!! He's pretty popular huh!

WAH, talk about the exit I angry. Look at this:

Each of us have to pass through this old fashion spinning gantry to get out of the stadium and there's only ONE of this gantry!!! WAH LAU, so many people!!! I queued for very long loh!!!

Meanwhile:

This super big blue gate looks so peaceful.

EH!!! WHY CANNOT OPEN THIS GATE FOR THE PEOPLE TO COME OUT LEH???!!!! WHY MUST LET SO MANY PEOPLE QUEUE UP TO GET THROUGH THE CREAKING GANTRY (it produces 'eeee, eeeeee' sounds whenever people passed through it) ? SIGH!

Anyway, end of rally.

Then today, since it's the last 'rallying' day, I went down to attend Worker Party's Rally at Serangoon Stadium.

We parked somewhere near my old Zhonghua campus and walked there. There were a hell lot of people walking there. You should see the people gathering at traffic lights waiting to cross the road! MAGNIFICENT!!!

Can you see the bunch of people crossing the road (circled in red)? This was only part of them. Some are hidden behind the trees...

We were almost there:

Hmm...the stadium looks full. (Look at the small silhouettes at the top!)

WAH! The stadium was indeed very full even though it's still very early. Around 7.30pm.

Again, we squeezed into the crowd trying to inch closer towards the stage. Finally found a spot to settle down:

The stage.

The crowds.

I spotted this kid waving his Worker Party's flag!!! CUTE!!!

At this point in time, there was an announcement that the stadium was full and there were still lots of supporters outside who couldn't get in!!!! OMG!!!! SO FUN!!!! (It was only around 8+ at that time...)

Everyone came prepared for the rally:

Those who brought newspapers with them to sit on the ground.

Those who brought umbrellas in case it rains

Some even use their umbrellas as 'poles' (see red circles)! VERY GOOD! 1 stone hit 2 birds!

Those with the waterbottles.

Those with their own snacks.

HAHA cute right? All came prepared. I was all-prepared with my waterbottle, sweets and camera too!

And don't think that there are only aunties and uncles around, there are lots and lots of young people my age. Or even younger!

Hall13!!! NTU-ian?

A group of young people! (See red circle)

And of course, ME!!! Okay, my face very oily coz it's very hot there okay!!!!!

Of course, there were all sorts of banners/signboards/flags:

The hammer!

A self-made red Worker Party's flag!

The Sylvia-lovers!

The connecting 'You Have My Vote' banner!

And I absolutely love this one:

This is one side of it...

This is the reverse...

ISN'T IT SOOOOOOO WONDERFUL???!!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Again, I would not elaborate on the speech given by the Worker Party. You may refer to their website for further information.

Anyway, I saw some familiar faces there!!! Actually, they spotted me first...;p

SIM SRC-mates: Leonard, Marcus, Eddie and me!!!

10pm:

The end of the rally. The Worker Party had left (it would be illegal if they stayed on). But the crowd were still not dispersing...

The rally was at its peak!!!!!

And look!!!

Tourists!!! (Hmm...they don't seem like locals to me coz they seem very lost and bewildered yet amazed...haha)

And...

EUGENE!!! YOU SEE!!! YOUR FRIEND!!!!! I saw him there with his girlfriend...hahaha...

The crowds are starting to leave...

This is the view from inside the stadium.

BUT!

People who left the stadium gathered outside the stadium, still chanting repeatedly, 'WORKER'S PARTY!!!"

Look at the police!!!! There were so many of them!!!! These were those standing guard at the exit, there were lots more inside the stadium and some patrolling...

Soon after, the police started dispersing the people.

A last picture before we leave:

Me and my MUM!!!

I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE OF RALLIES!!!!!!!!! Why can't the campaign be longer??? Like 1 or 2 months??? Can the election be held annually?? PLEASE?

p/s: I have uploaded some videos I took at the WP Rally. The atmosphere is fantastic!!! Enjoy!!!

The Pledge

OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!

Look at the 2 young Hip-hop supporters!!! They're so cute!!!
