WOOHOO!!! I can post up pics now!!! Something is very wrong with blogspot...siao one...
Money can't buy you everything. How true. For example, it cannot buy you love. Neither can money buy you your health - or any other peoples' for that matter. Being sad enough for not getting the 2 most precious things on earth, you look to seek for some material comfort. How would you feel when you can't even get those beautiful stilettos you have been aiming for since like a hundred years ago? What about that drop-dead gorgeous dress which fits you perfectly when you last tried it?
Absence of the previous 2 'intangible assets' definitely makes you feel sad. But the lack of 'tangible (material) assets' makes you feel depressed too isn't it? Welcome to my world everyone!! (Please don't be mistaken though, I'm fortunate enough to possess the first 2 'intangible' ones, so I'm just talking about the 'material' one.)
Example of got-money-also-cannot-buy 'material assets':
The Hermes Birkin -
This bag above has a waiting list of 5 years and cost $10,000+++ . Want it? Get in the queue girls!
The Hermes Kelly -Similar to the Birkin, it is also one of the most classic bags held by socialites all over the world. Got money? You'll still have to wait!
Chloe Paddington -
Designed by Phoebe Philo, this bag was dubbed 'the fastest-selling bag ever in history'. 8,000 Paddingtons were produced for the launch last year, but none made it to the shelves of the boutiques.
Chloe Silverado -
(The one on the right is the original silverado bag)
Another widely-coveted bag designed by Phoebe Philo. Just like the Chloe Paddington, it is also a sell-out bag with a waiting list of a few months.
Fendi Spy -
This hobo-look-alike bag has a waiting list of around 3 months. Other than genuine leather, there are versions of this bag which are made of exotic materials such as python skin and squirrel fur.
Having introduced the 'It' bags above, I'm now ready for the revelation of my secret...
TADAH!!! My very own Chloe Paddington!!! I managed to lay my hands on one of them and I even got it in the super-popular-sell-out Black!!!
I'd like to thank my Dad for his part-sponsorship even though he thinks it's a waste of money. I'd also like to thank my Mum for her support in my love for designer bags. And of course not forgetting Heng for his help in checking the arrivals of Paddington bags. Thank you sooOOoo much!!! Love ya all!!!
Sigh...I've waited for this bag for so long, almost half a year. I was contemplating between the Chocolate Brown and Black. In the end, I decided on the Black one because I heard that the skin of the Chocolate Brown one sort of like peels off after a while (dunno whether it's true or not). Furthermore, Black is a more versatile colour.
After I bought the bag, the manager of the shop told me that the designer of the Paddington bag (aka Phoebe Philo) had resigned from Chloe. How sad isn't it. She's the one who increased Chloe's sales by 80% in the past few years! But, that would mean that the Paddington might become a limited edition bag after this season!!! Yipee!!!
Okay, so now, I'm officially broke. Therefore, I kindly reject all invites to those super-duper-money-spending events. I'll have to wait til my exams end and start work immediately again. Sometimes, I really hate myself for being such a spendthrift. ;p
p/s: the 'thing' missing on my blog is none other than the 'Chloe Paddington Bag' under my Wish List. But I have now added more wishes yet AGAIN!!!
