I go home at almost the same time everyday (weekday that is). And I will usually take the MRT to Ang Mo Kio and then change the only bus left for me to go home, Bus 269. It will usually be around 12 midnight by the time I board the bus. And EVERYTIME, at the bus stop opposite AMK Central's Macdonalds, there is this elderly couple who will board the bus. I always wonder what have they been doing until this late hour that they have to take one of the last buses to go home. They will always alight 2 stops before I do and thus, I presume that they live around there.
And day after day, week after week, month after month...I see them again and again. Perhaps it's fate that I get to see them. Because I don't take the same timing's Bus 269 everyday. Sometimes I take the 11.50pm bus, sometimes the 12.05am, and tonight I took the 12.15am one, but I still see them EVERYTIME no matter which timings' bus I took.
Everytime I see them, they somehow attracted my attention and thru the days, I see that they're a very loving couple. However, like normal Chinese couples of their generation, they are very conservative and do not show their love for each other very openly. But I can see that they in fact ARE very loving from their small gestures. The husband will always very gentleman-ly (got this word?) help his wife to board the bus, carry the bags (they always have these quite-big bags with them), find a seat for his wife and help his wife alight. SO SWEET RIGHT?! I mean, they have been together for so long and he still does these small small gestures which says "I Love You." Actions really does speak louder than Words...
Today, I finally cannot take it and decided to take their picture using my V3 camera and blog about them. Here it is!
(Sorry for the small size, but this is my Hp cam leh, not my Sony T-11 leh...)
Ermm...you see that the Ah-Peh is standing up beside his wife although the seats around him are all empty. I think he wants to watch over his wife instead of sitting down somewhere further away from her. Awww...so sweet right? And the stupid guy sitting beside the Ah-Ma don't know what is called giving up seats to elderly one leh. Just now the bus was so crowded loh, he also never give up his seat to the Ah-Peh. Sickening guy!
Sigh...Will I be able to find someone to watch over me for the rest of my life too?
